When attending the practice you will notice some changes in the way we are working.
1. To maximize social distancing, we are asking you to only make enquiries or appointments over the telephone
2. We need to minimize the number of people in the waiting areas so please arrive at your appointment time (no earlier) and attend alone wherever this feasible. The front door will remain locked so please knock to be let in and please minimise the number of personal belongings you bring with you.
3. Appointments must be longer to allow for effective infection prevention and control protocols to be followed and this will limit the number of patients we can see each day. In line with government guidance only 1 or 2 surgeries will be able to open, greatly reducing the number of appointments we can offer each day.
4. We will contact everyone with appointments the day before in order to check that there are no signs of illness that could be COVID-19 so please make sure we have the correct phone number.
5. When you arrive, in line with guidance from British Dental Association, your temperature will be taken and you will be asked to use alcohol hand gel. If you have had symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has had symptoms, of COVID 19 PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND YOUR APPOINTMENT.
6. If you remember to bring your own pen to sign necessary documentation this can be useful!
Again we thank you for your patience during this transitional period. We look forward to seeing you very soon.
Please Take Care
Peter Martin and everyone at Barrow Street Dental Practice.
