We offer a wide range of services including:
• routine examinations.
• dental hygienist appointments after referral by one of the dentists.
• simple restorative treatment (fillings) and preventative measures (e.g. fissure sealants) for adults and children.
• advanced restorative treatment (crowns/bridges, root canal treatment).
• prosthetic dentistry (dentures).
• periodontal (gum) treatment.
• surgical dentistry (extractions and minor oral surgery).
We can also refer to specialist services for all types of dental treatment. If necessary for example, to hospital if general anaesthesia or surgery is indicated, or to specialist practices for orthodontics (braces) or dental implant surgery. Some referrals may not be available under the NHS.
Urgent Care
Regular patients with dental emergencies are usually seen the same day, but will be offered an appointment within 24 hours on working days.
For holidays, we usually provide urgent care within the practice, while out of working hours, Mr Martin can be contacted on: 07850 216064.
The local emergency out of hours dentist is available through St Helens PCT using the following number: 01744 673803.

A high standard of hygiene
We take the issue of infection control very seriously and have invested time and money to achieve high standards of hygiene. Equipment is either disposed of after use, or cleaned using clinical washer/disinfector and sterilised by autoclave between uses. We also use the ‘Sterilox’ and ‘Autosteril’ systems to ensure that clean water is produced from the units.
Gloves are changed between patients and we provide goggles for eye protection (for staff and patients), so please don’t be surprised when given safety glasses to wear.
